Welkin Health Raises $8 Million in Series A Funding from Thrive Capital

Funds will support Welkin’s growing team and expand partnerships

Welkin Health, a San Francisco-based digital health company, today announced $8M in Series A funding led by Thrive Capital. Welkin is the first digital health company to create a configurable case management platform that streamlines complex workflows for patient services. This round brings Welkin’s total funding to $12M.

Centralized data, a smart rules engine, and multi-channel communication tools integrate to solve workflow complexities, a major pain point for organizations delivering healthcare services. Companies can then focus on the patient experience and clinical pathways rather than productivity tools. Currently, Welkin supports 1,300 case managers working with 200,000 patients across multiple healthcare verticals.

With the new capital, Welkin plans to continue expanding their team which includes talent from Google, Facebook and Microsoft, as well as Practice Fusion, Medtronic, Sutter Health and Medicaid. The company will also accelerate partnerships with patient-centered digital health, life science, and medical device companies.
