As 2017 comes to a close, we’re thinking about how we can better help our partners make a greater impact in their patients’ lives in the coming year. Managing a patient’s whole healthcare journey is complex. Welkin’s configurable case management software makes it easier by offering our partners fine-grained control over their patient programs. The result? The delivery of high-touch patient support services for the long-term.
Using Welkin, partners can already configure their staff workflows down to the granular level, allowing for the most tailored programs possible. Welkin’s systems integrations and communication tools work to build a patient profile that includes a detailed timeline of events and data points that allow for an all-encompassing approach to care.
We understand that by making our tool even more configurable, and putting the power to improve programs in the hands of our partners, patient relationships get stronger.
So, what can we build in 2018 to help teams achieve this?
Coming next year, Welkin will introduce Workbench into our partners’ configurations. Using Workbench, program administrators will have the ability to configure features within their patient programs—from workflow triggers, Assessment management, and more, thereby saving time, reducing the cost of custom engineering work needed from Welkin, and gaining greater control over their programs.
Workbench offers a variety of new features for program deployments:
One of the most powerful and flexible Workbench tools will be the Process Builder. Program administrators will be able to create, modify, and remove triggers and corresponding effects that exist within their configurations. Examples of common triggers that the Process Builder will grant control over include: time-based (e.g. it’s been 3 days since a patient last received outreach); event-based (e.g. an Assessment of a certain type is submitted); and regularly recurring (e.g. every night at midnight). Examples of common effects include: making an alert for a coach or Role; scheduling a call for a patient’s Primary Coach; and transitioning a patient into the next Program Phase.
The Assessment Builder will give program administrators the ability to edit patient Assessments, from changing the questions coaches ask patients to tweaking the logic behind those questions.
An Alert Builder enables program administrators to create custom prompts to guide their workflow. The alert builder will include the ability to customize alert text and actions—whether sending a message, administering an Assessment, or emailing a document.
Workbench also affords program administrators the ability to edit task lists within patient Care Plans as well as adjust Email Template messages, without having to contact Welkin—changes can be made as needed.
Workbench will allow program administrators to define and manage their own Scheduled Call & Visit Types. This will include defining which Roles can be scheduled for different types of Scheduled Calls and Visits, as well as the copy that will appear in the relevant Call/Visit Alert and the Actions that will be suggested to the coach as part of the workflow associated with the Call or Visit.
